Abstract


Lakes play an important role in freshwater ecosystems, ecological functions, fish farming, and the socio-economic aspects of communities. The Pangolombian Lake in Tomohon City is often utilized by the community for fish farming and other activities. The lack of physical data is an obstacle in its management, so more in-depth research is needed for sustainable lake management. The purpose of this study was to determine the bathymetry and morphometric aspects of Lake Pangolombian, Tomohon City. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with survey and field observation methods, including measurement of lake depth using echosounder, and morphometric analysis through mapping and GIS techniques. The results showed that lake pangolombian tomohon city based on bathymetry aspects, there are variations in depth which are divided into 8 classifications. Depths ranging from 8.82 - 11.88 meters, located in the middle of the lake, and depths of 0.30 - 4.25 meters, as shallow waters scattered along the edges of the lake. In the morphometric aspect, the lake has a surface area of 37,651.72 m², a maximum length of 284.93 m, a maximum width of 156.92 m, and a length of the lake circumference of 915 m. The average depth value is 4.73 m, the maximum depth is 11.88 m. While the development of the lake volume shows a value of 1.19, with a total lake water volume of 178,092,635.6 m³ and a water discharge of 0.21883 m³/second.
